McHale Maternity | Rowe Arboretum

An early morning session. The distant scent of rain coming in over the rolling hills. Sweet melts hidden in a little boy’s pocket. Giggles at Dad’s silly faces. Smiles at Mom’s sweet tickles. This morning Cincinnati maternity session with Eddie, Christa, Jackson, and baby bump was a beautiful celebration of their newest addition to the family!

As I continue experiencing more sessions with RMP clients over the years, I get so excited to reminisce on previous sessions while planning and getting ready for your current session! It seems like just yesterday, Eddie + Christa were having their first maternity session photographed at French Park! And shortly after Jackson made his debut into the world, we captured your first session as a family of three. And now, he is almost 2 years old and you are expecting your second son, due to arrive in just a couple of months! It is so incredible for me, as your photographer, to see the growth and changes in your families! I am lucky in that I get to see this McHale clan frequently because we are like family, but it is always neat to watch all of my client’s kiddos grow over the years.

With all of us slowly emerging out of quarantine, it has been extra special to be able to get dressed up, spend joyful time with your family, and capture photos of a season in your lives that you will remember forever. I was talking to a fellow photographer this week and we were both remarking how blessed we have been post-quarantine with an influx of client inquiries. She mentioned that one of her clients thought that this time we have all been spending at home, and away from all the craziness of the world, has allowed us all to reflect on what is truly important to us. Quality time. Joy. Laughter. Giggles. Cheek kisses. Tickle fights. These are the moments that we want captured and preserved in our memories.

Here’s to the cute kiddo who made you a Momma first! And to the second one who will officially make it even between parents and littles!

Eddie + Christa, thank you for letting me share in this joy of your last session as a family of three! I cannot wait to watch Jackson become a big brother, and of course, I cannot wait to meet Boo Boo!
