Henry and Kate were running around the cherry blossoms in Ault Park. ‘Freeze!’ I exclaimed. ‘Now make funny faces. Not at each other sillies! At Gigi and Grandpa. Let’s make them giggle at each other! Keep going Henry. Don’t stop twirling, Kate! Yay! We got the perfect shot!’
‘Can I see?’ asked Kate. ‘Ok, now let us have them smooch.’ What a photographer in the making.
Yockey family, what a lovely way to spend a Thursday night with you all! It looks like Ault Park may just have to be ‘our place’ from now on. You all seriously make the park look gorgeous! After your fall family session at the end of last year, this session was a great way to start off the spring photo season. This session was extra special because Erin and Nik brought along another generation of the Yockey family! Nik’s Mom and Dad. Returning clients are so dear to my heart. It means that not only have they liked my work and chose me as their photographer, they have chosen me AGAIN! As a photographer, that is such a blessing. As a person, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It is especially fun when the kiddos remember ‘Miss Rachel’ from last season’s session. They will even remember some of my tricks to get their siblings to laugh (usually unprompted tickle fights). It is such a unique part of this creative calling of mine, watching these kiddos grow older.
Erin + Nik, it is always a fun photo session with you two, Henry, and Kate. Those two have such silly and fun-loving personalities. It is such a joy to capture their goofy moments for the family.
Sheri + Dave (or Gigi and Grandpa), it was an absolute honor to have you two join in on this family session. My prompts of ‘feels weird, looks great’ is clearly accurate because look at you two! Capturing these giggles and smiles you had for one another truly warmed my heart.
Thank you!
