As I pulled up to the main gate, the gravel pebbles crunched under the car I have had since my senior year of high school. My windows were down. The wind was lazily moving across the lake’s surface and through the willows at the water’s edge. I watched as a Midwest thunderstorm slowly meandered across the sky. I drove down the same winding pathways I had when I was first learning how to drive. Dad by my side. There is something to be said about reminiscing about your own family on a family photo session day. It was only 4:00 pm, but the sky looked like it was past sunset. Luckily, in the (nearly looking) night, the Wormus Family saves the day! Eric, Catherine, and Owlette…whoops, I mean Addie..joined me at Spring Grove over the weekend to get their family photos taken.

Addie had just celebrated her third birthday in April, so we had to get some shots of the birthday girl having fun! Twirls and giggles all day long!

I can never pass up a moment to get a few shots of just Mom and Dad, basking in the love. These moments have such a special place in my heart. All the heart eyes, am I right!

Catherine + Eric, I always love meeting up with clients, but it is always a special treat when I already know them! Addie is such a sweet three year old. All of my clients are seriously doing amazing things with their kiddos. Every little boy and girl I have photographed over the past year (here are a few) has been so polite, thoughtful, friendly, energetic, and kind. Young Rachel was scared of everyone besides her Mom at that age, so kudos to you all! Thank you for letting me be a part of these moments in your family’s lives.
