Soft music travelling down the hill. Tall grasses swaying in the surprisingly cool August evening. A sunset glow sparkling through the trees. One beautiful momma in a blue dress. One proud dad gazing lovingly at the mother of his children. A sweet puppy standing tall and just giving all the lovins. This special maternity session at French Park with Sarah and Andy could not have been any sweeter!

I have known Sarah and Andy for over 20 years (gosh that makes us sound so freaking old, doesn’t it!?)! We all went to elementary school together, and Sarah and I went to high school together as well! Over recent years, we see each other at our family gatherings too! Andy is brothers with my bro-in-law, so we all have the same nieces! So, having the opportunity to photograph Sarah, Andy, Baby H, and cutie pie, Braxton was extra special! It has been so fun to watch these two people find each other after we grew up, became close, got married, and are growing their family! Baby H is already one so-very-loved baby boy!

 

 

I send out a questionnaire to all of my clients prior to our session together, so that I can get to know you a little bit better. For couple sessions, I ask you each to describe your partner (I know, I am putting you on the spot!), but it is honestly my favorite part to read. Something about being willing to write down the reasons you love and respect your partner speaks to my heart! For both Andy and Sarah, they both wrote about how loyal and loving the other is. Watching them over the years, Andy and Sarah truly have a special relationship. You can visibly see how excited Sarah is to raise this new little human with the man she loves. And Andy is such a supportive husband. I think I lost count of the number of times he offered his hand to Sarah during the session. I think the best part of their marriage to witness is how they are truly best friends.

Sarah + Andy, thank you for being willing to reschedule after that thunderstorm scare on Thursday! I think it was serendipitous, with this stunning French Park sunset as a backdrop for your maternity session! I cannot wait to meet Baby H!
