The warm spring breeze floats through the willow trees. Pink blooms slowly sway. Bright white clouds leisurely moving across the blue sky, casting shadows down the green hillside. Sun peaking through the leaves. One sleepy daughter. Two older brothers searching for ants on the sidewalk. Jack’s toy dinosaur, guarding French Park. Can you believe this is the Grubbs’ first photo session as a new family of FIVE!?

I met Marianne through my sister, Leah, back when they were in their Masters program at Miami Univesity. I was in my undergrad and Marianne was actually the one to buy me my very first legal shot on my 21st birthday (do you remember Steinkeller’s that night?)! You two came out all dressed in fun birthday outfits, since most everyone had already left for summer break. And then I left and went home to read Harry Potter (I am SUCH a nerd)! But I loved you for getting me to go out that night! Ever since, Marianne (and now David!) have held an extra special place in my heart.

Marianne is a woman who you feel like you have known her for years, even if you had just met her. She makes you feel immediately included and part of the fun! She and David, together, have created such a fun life for their kiddos, and I am honored to be able to see them continue to grow as a family! They first became parents when Jack was born (happy 4th birthday bud), and again when Eli came into their lives. And now, they have beautiful Mischa, who is literally Marianne’s littlest twin!

Marianne + David, thank you for giving me the privilege of taking your family photos! I loved hanging with your boys and making them laugh! They are such fun-loving kiddos. Probably because they have such fun-loving people as their parents!
