Pulling into Mt. Airy Forest, I was suddenly reminded of my Dad. I had not been to this park in close to 15 years. Right when I was learning how to drive with my pops. I rolled my windows down. Winding side paths breaking off the main road. Rustling leaves twirling in the fall wind. I drove around the park, seeing the swing set I played on at summer camp. My camp counselor yelling ‘under doggie!’ as she ran underneath my swing seat, pushing me closer to the clouds above. I drove up the hill to the Arboretum and remembered the forest pathways and lake where we would picnic with my Mom and grandma, complete with grapes and cheese and crackers. Driving up to the top of the winding hill, I met Brittany and John and their lovely kiddos to celebrate their growing family. It felt like the perfect place to be.
Brittany joined the RMP family after a recommendation from another past client of mine, Laura! I always appreciate personal referrals when looking myself for new products and services, and I love being able to offer an RMP referral program to my clients! Trusting in a photographer is a big investment, and recommendations for RMP from your trusted friends mean so much to me.
These black and white photos of the Bedel kiddos have my heart from this family session in Mt. Airy Forest.
For Brittany and John, we had to sneak away from the little ones for a few moments to capture these two celebrating their wedding anniversary! I love when RMP clients bring items that are close to you and speak to your unique love. With one little outfit change, we transformed this classic fall family session into a mini anniversary session!
Brittany and John, happy anniversary! I hope you made some fun memories on your family session. Thank you both for doing all the goofy walking shots with me and an extra thank you to John, for forgiving me for calling you by your brother’s name the ENTIRE session! *facepalm* I had a blast with your family, and I can’t wait to hang out with you guys in the spring!
