One special location for one new family. Sunset peeking through the tall grasses. Nicole, Dave and Max met up with me and my camera at Farbach Werner Nature Preserve for the last few moments of fall’s glorious colors of 2019! This park was extra fun for me, because I had never been here before! I love having the opportunity to check out new spots that I can get a little creative with.

We spent the evening walking through the park, laughing, and looking amazing! I always send all my RMP booked clients my homemade Portrait Session Style Guide prior to you session. It is filled with little tips and tricks to help each of you feel and look your best during a professional photography session. Not only did Nicole style her family perfectly (look at Max’s suspender’s y’all), she even took some of my absolute biggest advice and pampered herself with professional makeup!

I know it is hard, as a mom, to coordinate yourself and your entire family in preparation for a family session. I will say, though, taking the extra time to pamper yourself is so worth the investment! Getting your makeup done before a session not only guarantees you will look absolutely flawless (hello! eyelashes!), but it will give you that extra confidence in your smile. Choosing to invest in legacy photos is a beautiful gift to your future family. Investing in yourself is a beautiful gift to your family as well! And, besides, its fun to get glamorous!

Not only did Nicole + Dave slay the style game during their session, they also took some RMP advice to bring Nicole’s sister along to help out! With those of you with kiddos or if you are bringing pets, an extra set of hands on a session can make a world of difference. Megan was able to snuggle in some time with her precious nephew, while Nicole + Dave were able to break away for a few moments with just the two of them! Nicole + Dave, these couple photos are some of my absolute favorite from your session. You two look so freaking cute and in love.
