Rich sunlight peaking through the columns. One tree holding onto her fall leaves. One Dad bouncing around the park with his daughter. One momma rocking her sweet girl. Two parents taking a few quiet moments for just the two of them. Ashley, Domenic, + Avery joinged me at Ault Park for their fall family session! This beautiful family was referred by another amazing client of RMP! Beth and Ashley have been friends for years! Avery + Scarlett, I hear, are the best of friends! They even had matching Minnie Mouse outfits for Halloween! Totally unplanned. I think that is a sure fire sign that Beth and Ashley are the best of friends as well! Great minds think alike! And the Antonelli’s family session was the perfect way to finish off RMP’s fall season!
Meeting new RMP kiddos is always such a fun experience for me. I love getting to learn about their growing personalities. I love figuring out what makes them giggle the most! And I love the moment in every session when the kiddos accept the goofy photographer lady as their friend. There is always one moment during every family session when a little one makes their mind up about me and must think, ‘she’s cool.’ Sometimes that is right at the end, before we all part ways. I’ll snag the first and last high five at that moment! Sometimes it is somewhere in the middle of the session when I ask your sons to play Simon says…but wait! Simon didn’t say!! Or when I ask your daughters to twirl in their ‘princess dress’ that Momma picked out special!
With Avery, this moment happened moments after meeting her! We had just walked to a spot in Ault Park that still had a tree with some fall-inspired orange leaves, Domenic and Ashley had pulled out the phone so we could dance to Mickey’s Hot Dog song, and Avery reached over for me to hold her! I nearly melted into a puddle of happiness right then and there!
Ashley + Domenic, I was so impressed by Avery’s independence and loving personality. You are raising one heck of an amazing little lady! Thank you for sharing her with me for the evening! And thank you for joining me at Ault Park to capture your beautiful family!
PS. I hope the Thanksgiving noodles were a hit, Ash!
