Marchionda Family | George Rogers Clark Park

Quacking ducks. Cool August morning breeze. The Cincinnati skyline. This was the perfect backdrop for the Marchionda family session at George Rogers Clark Park! This sweet family’s session last year was probably the windiest November day ever. Like ever. They were such champs braving the winds last year, and we vowed that this year we would pick a warmer day. We got absolutely wonderful weather for an August morning. It was a bit cool, but the morning glowy sun made its appearance a few times. A definite improvement!

With the warm weather came the warm giggles from Scarlett running circles around her sis, Emilia (and me I might add). I asked her to run as fast as she could towards me, and she was seriously fast. I could barely keep up! There may be a track runner in your futures, Beth + Phil. We started off their session overlooking the Ohio river and admiring the old architecture down in George Rogers Clark Park. This spot in Covington is so versatile. You can be walking down an old-world Southern charmed street in one moment, and be surrounded by greenery and the sun’s glow in the next. It is such a cool spot!

In the last few moments of the session, we made sure to snag some fun shots of just Beth + Phil. I had been sharing secrets with Scarlett all morning, and now it was Phil’s turn. We surprised Beth with a big bear hug from behind, and I am absolutely obsessed with your joy, Beth! We can sometimes be so wrapped up in the event of getting the perfect family photos that we forget sometimes that it can be really fun! I think I can actually hear your laughter here, and for me, that is a perfect moment caught on camera.

Thank you guys for continuing to let me capture your growing family! I love being able to see the girls growing up, and seeing the love you two still share burst through in these fun moments!
