Wormus Family | Eden Park

Coffee mug in tow. July summer sunrise over the Ohio River. The oak tress rustled in the summer breeze. For the second weekend in a row, I spent the morning at Eden Park with a beautiful family!

When I saw Addie wearing matching flower shoes as Catherine, I knew we were going to have one heck of a session! With this family’s style on point, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect morning for their family session. I have known Catherine for a very long time (I think I even went with her and my sister to my very first concert..Rascal Flatts in case anyone was wondering!), and it is always a pleasure to catch up with her and Eric! Especially during this topsy-turvy season in the world right now, it was really special to slow down for a morning to capture this growing family.

Who knew that Cincinnati had a mini-lavender field? Provence-esque, wouldn’t you say? <3

Shortly after I started blogging my photo sessions, Catherine + Eric met at Spring Grove Cemetery to take their family photos. It was the first time I met Eric and their daughter, Addie. She had just turned 3, and I she wasn’t too sure about the silly photographer taking her photos. At this session, Addie was having the time of her life! She got to hold Ollie without sitting in a chair. Addie got to wear MATCHING flower shoes with her awesome Momma. And she got to dance with Dad.

I had two absolute favorite moments at this family session.

  1. WhenEVER Ollie would look over at Addie, he would immediately start smiling and giggling. This brother sure knows how freaking cool his sister is!
  2. Addie twirling. It was seriously a magical childhood moment. The blur of her hair. Her flower shoes pit-pattering on the Eden Park bridge. The outstretched arms reaching and clinging to the perfect morning with her family. Pure joy.

Catherine + Eric, thank you for sharing your family with me during your session! You are raising some amazing kiddos, and I can’t wait to continue watching them grow up! I hope you enjoyed smelling the lavender as much as I did. You four truly knocked it out of the park (hehe baseball pun <3)!
