The comforting scent of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the house. One older sister giggling and jumping on the bed. Reading books with her Mom and Dad. Playing with her puppy. Anxiously awaiting her baby brother to wake up from his nap. The move into a big girl room. Transforming the nursery into a place for the newest member of the White family. The precious, cozy moments in the life of a loving family.

On this rainy morning in June, Lauren + Brian welcomed me into their Harrison home to celebrate Bennett’s arrival! It seemed like a lifetime ago that we were capturing your maternity session at Spring Grove Cemetery! It was pre-global pandemic and pre-quarantine. Bennett made his arrival right around the time that the shelter-in-place order went into effect, so we decided to reschedule his newborn session for the summer and we turned it into a family session party! Gram and Gramps were even there to join in the dancing, singing, and joyful laughter that is becoming quite an RMP-family session classic. Who knew that a dancing Lambie could be so silly?!

The tiny moments of this family spent giggling on the bed are so special. Especially coming out of a worldwide season of uncertainty. These moments clarify the certain things in life. Love for each other. Laughter. Joy. New life. Lasting memories.

Lauren + Brian, thank you for sharing your family and puppy with me this morning! I can’t wait to watch Emmy continue to grow into her new role as big sister (she is doing a fantastic job already) and watch Bennett look up to his big sister. Until next time!
