Harrigan Family | Harrison

The gentle breeze carried the first smells of spring. Fresh flower blooms. Cut grass. Wet pavement. April showers and May flowers. The stormy clouds had finally passed through Harrison. The sun was just peaking out behind the white clouds. It was photo session time with the Harrigan Family! This spring session was extra special for the Harrigan’s (and myself) because Lauren turned one at the beginning of April! I am blessed to be ‘Aunt RaRa’ to these two beautiful little ladies. It is always such an honor to photograph my family.

Emma and Lauren are the two sweetest little girls I know (I may be biased since I am their Aunt, but I really don’t think so). Leah + Ray, you both have done an amazing job to foster their sisterly love. It reminds me so much of the laughs and silliness I share with my sister! Sisterhood is such a special relationship. Emma is so patient with Lauren, teaching her new things, making goofy faces to get her to giggle, and above all, sharing her almost-4-year-old knowledge with the littlest Harrigan.

There is nothing better than some Daddy-daughter time during a family session…

…Except when it is Daddy and Momma time!

Leah + Ray wanted to update their family photos, while also showcasing the birthday girl. Leah had such a fun idea to do a cake smash for Lauren. I think I may have done a little happy-dance when I saw Lauren after her outfit change.

The tulle skirt.

The pink flower crown.

The Goldilocks-sized cake (the perfect size for Lauren to eat)!

For those clients that read my Style Guide. THIS.IS.PERFECTION. Although for you couples out there, make sure your man wears a shirt. Not everyone can rock the sweet Buddha belly like Lauren can! Thank you, Leah + Ray for enabling my creative side and trusting me to capture these precious moments of you and the family!

Love,
Rachel Marie
